I was born and raised in Southern California and have had a passion for DIY and the outdoors since I was a little kid.  I spent weekends helping my dad fix things around the house once I was able to steadily hold a flashlight and have grown this passion into a career in construction and a lifetime of home improvement projects.  When I don’t have a tool in my hand, I am most likely spending time outdoors, whether that be backpacking, car camping, skiing, or day hiking.  What binds all of these activities together is my love of geeking out over the latest and greatest tools and gear.  I try to stay on top of the trends and am always on the look out for items to add to my kit (also known as my backyard shed).  I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and passion with the world.
